Ask any coach (regardless of sport) and they’ll tell you they want to peak towards the end of the season so they enter the playoffs with the most momentum possible.

It almost seems like La Salle is in playoff form just 8 matches into the 2017 season.

So, if this isn’t their ‘best’ and they get better, the Lancers could make a serious run in the playoffs.

La Salle dismantled yet another opponent on Monday when they swept St. Lucy’s, 25-15, 25-23 and 25-13.

In their seven wins this season, the Lancers have won 21 of 22 sets in victories over Alta Loma, Cypress, Long Beach Wilson, Gahr, Sierra Canyon, Flintridge Sacred Heart and now St. Lucy’s.

They also continue to get production from a numbers of girls each night.

And best yet, it’s not always the same three girls.

As for Monday, Claire Forrest led the way with 12 kills and a block.

Sofia Sanchez added 10 kills and 4 blocks.

Chloe Howell finished with 8 kills and a block.

La Salle will open league play a week from Saturday when they travel to Santa Fe Springs to take on St. Paul at 6.
