Mayfield is clearing obstacles in their path before taking on first-place Westridge next week.
After a Prep League victory over Chadwick, the Cubs made it two Prep League wins in a row when they swept Rio Hondo Prep on Thursday.
Mayfield earned a 25-18, 25-7 and 25-20 Prep League victory.
Annie Evans had 5 kills and 10 digs, while Aoife Chow added 12 digs.
Audrey Bland contributed 3 kills and 6 days, and Catie Sanchez had 5 kills.
