From STAFF REPORTS

Ok, not that it wasn’t official, but it’s official.

Makana Meyer and Allison Martinez are the Prep League’s premier 1-2 punch right now.

The Tigers’ senior hitters combined for 28 kills in just three sets.

Westridge has had trouble winning at Chadwick, but this year and specifically this Friday, it was no problem.

The Tigers handled the Dolphins by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-19 to remain undefeated (6-0) on the season and on top of the Prep League standings with a 3-0 mark so far.

They’ll likely get their first big test next week when they host second-place Mayfield.

But back to Friday’s sweep at a place that has not been kind to the Tigers.

Martinez finished with 15 kills, 10 aces and 7 digs and is as good as it gets in this area.

Meyer had 13 kills, 7 digs and 3 aces.

Mack and Martinez finished with 28 of the Tigers’ 39 kills on Friday.

Nichole Gibbs and Eryn Boken both did their parts, with 6 kills, and 4 kills, respectively.

Emmie Barnard also continues to evolve at setter, and improve in the vital position coach Otto Lacayo has entrusted upon the young freshman.

Krystal Raymundo added 8 digs and an ace.
