Mayfield can always count on their singles trio to give the Cubs an advantage in almost any tennis match.

And while the Cubs top three players, Lauren Panajotovic, Carly Hall and Sammi Kennedy did their part, the Mayfield doubles struggled mightily.

Glendale won 8 of their 9 doubles matches and it led the Nitros to a 10-8 victory over the Cubs.

Panajotovic and Hall both won each of their matches and each won two sets by scores of 6-4 and their third win was by a 6-0 advantage.

Kennedy, in the third spot that is usually filled by Sofia Mireles, won one match by a score of 6-4, but she dropped her other two matches by scores of 6-0 and 6-0.

Ashlinn and Elise Kingston, playing No. 2 doubles for Mayfield, went 1 for 3.

They defeated Glendale’s No. 1 doubles team by a score of 6-4.
