Chadwick’s Cassie Wooten did something Friday that no other Prep League girls tennis player has been able to do.

Wooten handed Mayfield’s No. 1 singles player, Lauren Panajotovic her first loss of the season.

But the Cubs still edged the Dolphins, 10-8, in the tightly-contested showdown.

Wooten defeated Panajotovic, 6-2, and then knocked off Carly Hall and Sofia Mireles, 6-0, 6-0.

Panajotovic won her second and third matches, 6-0 and 6-1.

Hall won 2 of her three matches and Mireles was 1 for 3.

Ariana and Alexia Saigh, the Cubs No. 1 doubles team won 2 of their 3 matches, as did the No. 2 team of Ashlinn and Elise Kingston.
