Accomplishment(s): Smith had a career night in Maranatha’s 58-29 victory Friday night to earn the Minutemen their first Olympic League win of the season over visiting Whittier Christian. Smith led the rushing core that quarterback Kwon Peterson said was the best ground game in two years. Smith had over 200 yards and four TD’s. He scored on runs of 17, 23, 55 and 4 yards. It was also his second and third efforts that impressed those on hand, as much as it was his total yards and four TD’s.
