Julia Macabuhay is an athlete that even the most proud of male athletes could sit and watch and think, “wow, that is a great basketball player.”

Macabuhay led La Salle to a 61-50 victory over Glendale at the San Marino Tournament on Tuesday night to improve to 2-0 in the tournament and 3-0 on the new season.

The Lancers guard scored a game-high 33 points.

But that wasn’t it.

She also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

Skylar Uzeta was also solid, pouring in 13 points.

Brianna Antillon finished with 8 points for the Lancers.

La Salle will face Maranatha (1-2) in the San Marino Tournament on Thursday at 6.

La Salle scoring: Julia Macabuhay 33, Skylar Uzeta 13, Brianna Antillon 8, Alyssa Arroyo 3, Crystal Ramirez 2, Zarah Huo 2.

Glendale scoring: Mary Markaryan 13, Jillian Yanai 12, Melissa Zamora 10, Lilla Vasghanian 6, Meri Chebishian 5, Anna Boyajyan 2, Ani Boyajyan 2.
