Talk about a satisfying victory.

Muir got swept last year by Glendale, and to make that even more frustrating for the Mustangs, the two losses came by a combined total of four points.

So, they traveled out to play the Nitros to open Pacific League play against a Glendale team that started the season 12-1.

On top of that, Glendale took a 31-22 lead at the break.

But don’t fear, these Mustangs are poised, and used a 35-14 surge in the second half to earn a league-opening 57-45 victory on the road.

Not only are they poised, what has made them special this year is the incredible balance throughout their lineup.

And that continued Wednesday evening.

Hunter Woods led the way with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Haleem Jenkins added 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Tiyon Martin and Simaine Stewart Junior continue to be the most productive guard tandem.

The Mustangs seniors combined for 21 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals.

Tasson Aubry finished with 9 points and 15 rebounds.

Muir will host Burroughs on Friday at 7.
