La Salle knows Bosco Tech isn’t the toughest foe they’ll face in Camino Real League play.

But you play who’s on your schedule, and every win in league in a big win.

Eric Rivero, the sophomore scoring machine, coming off a pair of hat-trick games last week scored two more goals for the Lancers on Friday evening.

Rivero himself would be the first to tell you he should have four if not five goals on near-misses.

But those three missed shots won’t likely happen again, as the sophomore expects so much of himself.

Daniel Piesik got La Salle on the board in the 23rd minute and just over 11 minutes later, Rivero scored the first of his two goals to give La Salle a 2-0 lead into the break.

In the 69th minute, Rivero took a header from Brandon Clarizio and the game was more than out of reach for Bosco Tech.

CJ Rettig, arguably the best story in Pasadena area boys soccer had 4 more saves on Friday.

For those who don’t know, Rettig, a member of the volleyball program was asked to come out because of the low numbers, despite not having played competitively.

Because of his length at about 6-foot-3, he has been a quick student of the game in goal for La Salle and this is at least his fourth shutout in the last few weeks.

Brandon Clarizio had a pair of assists and Cristian Reyes had one assist.

Box Score:
BT: 0-0-(0)
LS: 2-1-(3)

Records:
La Salle (7-4-1 overall, 1-0 in league); Bosco Tech (0-5, 0-1)
