PHS knows it pretty much needs to win out to have a shot at a Pacific League title.

They began play Tuesday two games back of Crescenta Valley.

The Bulldogs did their part and were led by Kamesha Moore’s 11 points and 5 steals.

PHS defeated Burroughs, 39-28, thanks to an 18-5 surge in the third quarter to pull away.

Kameria Pigee added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals.

Mariah Cathcart finished with 8 points, 4 steals and 4 assists.

Tatiyana Ayala contributed 4 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.

Pasadena will take on Muir at Maranatha on Friday at 6:30.
