From Staff Reports:

La Salle knew its chances of handing first place St. Anthony its first loss in Camino Real League play weren’t real high.

That said, the Lancers held their own before falling 64-56 on Wednesday to the visiting Saints.

But nothing would have changed even had they won, because La Salle had already locked up the third and final automatic bid to next week’s CIF-SS playoffs.

Kenneth Franklin paced the Lancers offense with 23 points.

La Salle coach Mike Lynch said it was the 24 turnovers that “did us in.”

The Lancers enter the playoffs having gone 5-5 in their last 10 games of the regular season.

La Salle will find out its CIF-SS first round playoff game when the brackets are posted at www.cifss.org on Sunday afternoon at 1.

Camino Real League Stadings:
St. Anthony (24-2 overall, 10-0 in league)
Bishop Amat (22-5, 8-2)
La Salle (16-11, 5-5)
St. Genevieve (11-16, 4-6)
St. Monica (7-18, 3-7)
Bellarmine-Jefferson (0-16, 0-10)
