Accomplishment(s): The reigning Pasadena Sports Now Girls Basketball Player of the Year continues to dazzle. She had a triple-double (24 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) in La Salle’s 68-40 victory over Chaparral in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 3A playoffs on Thursday. She topped that on Saturday night, though. The Lancers traveled 197 miles and defeated Mission Prep, 74-65, in San Luis Obispo to earn a spot in the quarterfinals. Macabuhay had a career-best 48 points, and also had 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 6 steals in the victory. La Salle will battle top-seeded Oxford Academy (26-1) on Wednesday.
