It’s a rarity any time Flintridge Prep enters the fourth quarter trailing.

But that was the case on Saturday night in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 3A playoffs.

Pacifica held a 6 point lead and had the comfort of playing on their own floor.

The Prep League champs, though, outscored the Tritons 18-7 in the fourth and deciding period.

Prep earned the 56-51 victory, and with big thanks to Kaitlyn Chen and her game-high 28 points.

Sofia Gonzalez added 8 points and Andie Kim finished with 7 points.

Maddy Manning had 6 points for the Rebels and Alex Kyriakakas had 5.

Geraldine Balajadia led Pacifica with 14 points and Bianca Naranjo had 12.

Flintridge Prep will host Cerritos (25-4) on Wednesday night.

The Dons earned a 43-29 victory over Hemet.
