Collette Allen certainly pitched well enough to win.

The Lancers’ starter went all 6 innings in the circle and allowed just one earned run on four hits.

Allen also struck out 9 Wildcats’ batters and the Lancers had a 10-4 advantage in base hits.

But La Salle committed 4 errors and Monrovia took advantage in their 6-5 victory on Tuesday afternoon.

Bella Marez went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and Sophia Sansone had 2 hits and an RBI.

Jackie Castro added 2 hits and a walk.

Kat Yuzefpolsky and Kate Mena each picked up a base hit for the Lancers.

La Salle will travel to South Pasadena on Thursday at 3:15.
