Accomplishment(s): Netz, the reigning 2016 Pasadena Sports Now Softball Player of the Year is starting her sophomore campaign in style. Netz shut out the defending Prep League champs (Poly) on just one hit. MHS defeated the Panthers, 6-0, and Netz walked one and struck out 13 batters. She also helped her own cause, scoring once and driving in a pair of runs. One day prior, Netz had two hits, scored twice and collected a pair of RBIs in Maranatha’s 19-1 victory over St. Pius. In just two appearances this season in the circle, the star sophomore has walked 3 batters and fanned 24 in 14 innings.
