Poly’s record isn’t necessarily indicative of the way the Panthers have competed.
Take Friday night’s Prep League road match for instance.
Poly fell at Rio Hondo Prep, but it took the Kares five games to knock off the Panthers.
Rio Hondo Prep earned a 25-23, 17-25, 23-25, 25-18 and 19-17 victory.
Graham Olson led Poly.
The senior finished with 9 kills and 14 blocks.
Sophomore Dexter Knaack added a team-high 14 kills for the Panthers.
Poly will host first-place and rival Flintridge Prep on Tuesday at 4:30.
