Poly trailed by three runs heading into the bottom of the fifth inning in a first-round Minutemen Invitational Tournament contest.
The Panthers scored four fifth-inning runs and held off Oxford Academy, 4-3.
Matt Queen went 2 for 4, including a double.
Queen scored once and had one RBI.
Ty Evans, Cameron McFarlane and David Mathias each had an RBI on Saturday for the Panthers.
Van Fichtner got the win after going 1 1/3 innings.
He didn’t allow a hit or a run and struck out one batter.
Franco Alonso earned the save after a perfect final 1 2/3 innings and striking out one.
Poly leads the Prep League with a 3-0 record and they’ll resume league play on Tuesday when they host Firebaugh.
