Accomplishment(s): Alonso is one of the area’s most versatile and complete athletes. He is as good on a football field as he is playing baseball. In a doubleheader sweep over the Oxford Academy on Saturday, the Panthers’ junior scored one run and got the save on the mound in a 4-3 victory in the first game, but he saved his best for the final contest. Alonso went 5 for 5 at the plate with a pair of singles and three doubles. He scored four times and had 4 RBIs for the Prep League leaders.
