For the second time in a week or so, Muir was on the wrong end of a one-hit shutout.

Last week, Arcadia’s Caden Ross was just an Aryonis Harrison single from perfection.

Today, Xavier Dubon allowed just an Ely Resendez single from a no-hitter.

Dubon walked one and stuck out six to lead Burroughs to the 8-0 victory.

Valente Vera got the loss after surrendering six runs (five earned) on five hits over 4 1/3 innings.

Vera walked three and struck out three.

Emiliano Martinez and Tyquise Soloman combined to go the other 1 2/3 innings for the Mustangs.

Julian Jaramillo led the Indians offense with a pair of hits and three RBIs.

Revin Diego with 1 for 4 with a double and he drove in two runs.

Muir will host Burroughs on Friday at 3:30 and attempt to earn a split with the second-place Indians.
