Accomplishment(s): Poly had a huge week with a pair of Prep League victories at Rio Hondo Prep (2-0) and at Westridge (16-4), and the Panthers ended their week with an 8-5 victory at La Salle in a nonleague battle. Junior Vivian Wheeler had a large part of the three road victories. She went 9 for 13 with 10 runs scored, three doubles, a walk and four RBIs. Poly is now just one-half game back of Mayfield in the Prep League standings, and they get two shots at the Cubs this coming week.
