Accomplishment(s): Castro and Green, both senior pitchers, threw shutouts three days apart in the two-game sweep of Glendale. On Tuesday, Castro improved to 5-1 by throwing a three-hit shutout, walking one and striking out seven in a 2-0 victory. Castro also went 2 for 3 at the plate and scored both Bulldogs’ runs. On Friday, and on the road, Green threw a one-hit shutout, walking one and striking out 10 in a 1-0 victory. Green had two of PHS’ four hits in the win. The sweep brings the Bulldogs’ Pacific League win streak to five games and they’ve gone from last all the way up to third place.
