Maranatha has found its stride since returning home from the IMG National Classic in Florida.

The Minutemen earned a sixth consecutive victory, after their handling of Oxford Academy, 11-1, on Saturday afternoon.

MHS used three pitchers to get the job done.

JP Caire got the win, going the first three innings and allowing one run on four hits.

Caire walked one and struck out five.

Casey Popham went the fourth through sixth innings and allowed just one hit, didn’t walk a batter and struck out two.

Max Blessinger struck out the side in the seventh inning.

Oxford’s Andrew Choung was pounded for 11 runs on 14 hits.

The Maranatha bats saw nine different players with at least one hit and three had at least two.

Marco Martinez led the way with a 3 for 4 effort He doubled, tripled, scored twice and had two RBIs.

Nick Iverson went 3 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Blessinger had two hits, an RBI and a pair of runs scored.

Dante Campione went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Dawson Netz doubled and scored and Jacob Moreno tripled and scored.

Brock Vradenburg went 1 for 3 and had an RBI.

Maranatha begins a three-game series with Heritage Christian this coming Tuesday as the Minutemen delve back into Olympic League play.
