Poly snapped back into shape after their first loss in 17 games Monday.

One day later, Franco Alonso shut down Chadwick on the road, and the Panthers earned a 7-2 Prep League victory.

Alonso went six strong innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits.

Alonso walked one and struck out seven.

Joe Masters closed out the Dolphins in the seventh inning.

Stefan Lichtenstein was saddled with the loss.

Lichtenstein allowed seven runs on six hits over his four innings on the mound.

Lichtenstein walked six and fanned just one Poly batter.

Cameron McFarlane homered and drove in two runs and David Mathias had two hits and scored once.

Sean McTigue went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs scored and he drove in a pair of runs.

Joe Masters collected two hits, including a double and an RBI.

Chadwick walked Matt Queen three times and he scored twice.

Ben Bryson had one hit and an RBI, and Robby Wilson went 1 for 1.

Ty Evans and Franco Alonso both went 1 for 4.

Bryan Regan and Moises Medrano both had two hits apiece for Chadwick.

Poly will close out its regular season schedule Thursday when they host last-place Firebaugh at 3:45.
