Senior dual-sport athlete Alexander Bourzutschky (Potomac, Md. / Montgomery Blair) padded his academic resume by being named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America At-Large Team selected by CoSIDA, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The physics and computer science major held a 3.96 GPA and helped the men’s swimming & diving team to a sixth-place SCIAC Championship finish this past year, in addition to setting a new top time for himself in the 200m dash at the track & field SCIAC Championships in April. Academically, Bourzutschky previously earned at-large recognition on the CoSIDA Academic All-District team for the second consecutive year, and was named Caltech Male Scholar Athlete of the Year at the 2018 Athletic Celebration.
