Accomplishment: Zepeda was credited by his coach, Antyone Sims as being the spark Friday night in the Mustangs’ huge victory over longtime San Gabriel Valley power Charter Oak, and did so on the road. Zepeda had a team-best 8 tackles, including one for loss and he brought the energy they needed to pull off the quality win. Sims said “he established our defense and his teammates rallied behind him.” Muir will have their bye this week and then head up north to take on Stellar Prep in Oakland on August 31.
