It’s been a rough week or so for the La Salle girls volleyball program.

The Lancers lost their first Del Rey League match in three years back on September 13, when they were swept by Bishop Montgomery.

And on Tuesday night, St. Joseph overcame a two games to one deficit and defeated La Salle on their own court in five sets.

St. Joseph earned the victory by scores of 25-18, 24-26, 18-25, 25-20 and 15-8.

La Salle has gone from first to third place over the past seven days.

Chloe Howell continued her excellence for the Lancers.

Howell had 23 kills, 29 digs and 3 aces in the loss.

Elle Harrity added 12 kills.

Devon Nardoni led the Lancers with a team-best 28 assists.

Vanessa Ramirez had a team-high 45 digs.

La Salle will travel to Long Beach on Thursday at 6 to take on St. Anthony in a big Del Rey League match.
