Quotable:

FSHA coach Trent Tcheng: “We were able to control our nerves pretty well tonight. San Marcos had a great turnout among their student body and were loud. They made this feel like a playoff game and created a great atmosphere. It was a great way to open the playoffs and we enjoy the underdog role. We opened up our offense and knew our middles needed to be active and they did a great job when they had opportunities.”

FSHA freshman Peyton DeJardin: “I think that since we play tougher competition we were ready. We knew this could be our last match, and we didn’t waver throughout match. I feel like we play better when there is a crowd and feed off of it. We stayed steady throughout the match and kept a strong mind set. Everyone is on the same page, and had to, because we play such a tough schedule. We need to improve our communication and be less hesitant on defense.”
