For the fourth time in five seasons, the Lady Minutemen are on to the semifinals with a complete performance from the entire team, as they defeated the #7 Vikings of Northview in the CIF-SS Div. 5 Quarterfinals. Northview had just come off of a huge come-from-behind victory in the second round on Friday, defeating Norte Vista on games after rallying to a 9-9 tie. That match may have taken something out of the Vikings as they weren’t really able to get anything going against Maranatha.

After winning the CIF-SS Div. 5 Championship in 2014, the Lady Minutemen lost in the semifinals in 2015 and 2017, both by the score of 9-9. They hope to punch their ticket to the championship match on Friday at the Claremont Club. However, standing in their way will be a formidable opponent, the #3 seeded Century Centurions, who narrowly defeated Notre Dame Academy, 10-8.

So, the semifinals are set for Wednesday, as #1 Woodcrest Christian hosts #5 Westminster, and #2 Maranatha hosts #3 Century at 2 p.m. at PHS.
