Boys Varsity soccer battled the second-ranked Chadwick Dolphins on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Palos Verdes last Saturday and came away with a hard-fought 1-0 victory that created a three-way race for Prep League title. Poly created numerous strong scoring chances throughout the game, only to be denied by excellent goalkeeping by Chadwick’s goaltender. Constant pressure paid off when Poly got their one elusive goal 15 minutes into the second half and held on for the well-earned victory. Poly has another Prep League match against Flintridge Prep away on Wednesday, Jan 23, at 5:00 p.m. Check the Athletic Calendar for details.
