If you’re a Poly football fan, and want to see them wrap up a Prep League title, make plans to be on campus on Friday.

The Panthers (9-0 overall, 2-0 in league) host Trinity Classical Academy.

The kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m., not the usual 7 p.m. starting time.

Trinity Classical (3-5, 1-1) has scored just 20 touchdowns in its first 8 games.

Tyler Lee and Caden Kulp have a combined 825 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns.

Lee has also thrown for 634 yards, has six touchdown passes and has been intercepted six times.

Poly’s perfect season will continue, and their point differential is eye popping.

In Prep League play, the Panthers have outscored its opponents by a margin of 95-7.

Through nine games, Poly has outscored its opponents by 252 points.

A main reason for that is the production it has gotten from so many players.

John Genske at quarterback, Christian Henderson and Brady Carter at running back.

Will McConnell and Cameron McFarlane have also played huge roles in coach Chris Schmoke’s program and in their success.

Coach Chris Schmoke: “Trinity is a new opponent to us and a new league team. They are building a program there and have had some ups and downs. They are a team that spreads the ball out, throws it around some, and our challenge will be to pressure the quarterback, and be disciplined in our coverage responsibilities. We are in a good place right now in terms of our health and attitude, and we hope to have a good week of practice and a sharp final game to prepare us for the playoffs. We are hoping to continue to show improvement in our run blocking.”

Prep League Standings:
Poly (9-0 overall, 2-0 in league)
Rio Hondo Prep (5-3, 1-1)
Trinity Classical (4-5, 1-1)
