Maranatha trailed visiting Whittier Christian 42-41 with 2:41 to play in an Olympic League contest Tuesday evening.
But the Heralds (13-5) outscored the Minutemen 8-0 over the game’s final 141 seconds to hold off a valiant effort from Maranatha (8-12).
Qasia Boone led Maranatha with 12 points and Patil Yaacoubian had 9.
Marina Lacanilao had 7, and both Claire Sheffer and Erica De Guzman had 4 each.
Maranatha will travel to Heritage Christian (14-5, 0-2) next Tuesday night.
