Even the most myopic of Poly girls water polo fans could have imagined a 13-1 start to the 2016-17 season.

Starting 13-1, though, including a 6-0 mark in Prep League play is exactly where coach Ryan Katsuyama finds his program.

The Panthers continued their torrid pace with a 16-2 victory over visiting Keppel Saturday afternoon during Poly’s ‘Winter Tailgate.’

Colleen Woo and Talie Wilmans, the Panthers top two scorers also lived up to their billing.

Woo and Wilmans had 5 goals apiece.

Lucy Harvey added 4 goals and Morgan Shafia 2.

Kate McInerny blocked 4 shots in goal for Poly.

Poly won’t play again for 8 days when they take on Flintridge Prep on Jan. 23 at 3:30.

The Panthers will spend the week studying for and taking their final exams.
