Three games into the 2016-17 season, the Westridge girls water polo team was 1-2.

Since then, the Tigers have won 14 of their last 16 and have scored at least 10 goals per game during that streak.

Westridge is in the heart of the Prep League race, and sits just one loss behind first-place Poly.

The Tigers are now on a four-game win streak after defeating Chadwick, 14-8, on Tuesday.

Freshman goalie Sophia Rubbo have 7 saves in goal for the Tigers.

Georgia Bogle and Kira O’Donnell led the Westridge offense with 5 goals apiece.

Ava Whist added 3 goals, while Grace Collins scored twice.

Poly defeated Westridge, 9-8, way back on Dec. 5, but the Tigers have won six consecutive league games and get a chance to even the score with the Panthers on Feb. 6.

Westridge (15-4 overall, 7-1 in league) will host Flintridge Prep on Wednesday at 4 as Prep League play continues.

Westridge has scored 31 goals more than its next closest opponent in league matches.
