La Salle found itself in 1-0 and 2-1 deficits on Thursday in a Del Rey League game at St. Anthony of Long Beach.

But Melissa Mariscal got La Salle (14-4-2 overall, 4-1 in league) even in the first half with the Lancers first goal of the game.

Yocelyn Marquez took a pass from Anaise Nugent and found the back of the net to send the game into overtime.

Nugent kept the momentum going, and after setting up La Salle’s second goal, she scored 10 minutes into overtime to give the Lancers a 3-2 lead. This time, Marquez was on the other end and was credited with the assist.

Samantha Nieto put the game away with a free-kick goal.

La Salle will travel to St. Joseph on Monday at 3:15, as league play continues.

The Lancer junior varsity also claimed victory. La Salle defeated St. Anthony, 6-0.
