It was a great night for the St. Francis boys basketball program and second-year coach Todd Wolfson.

In one swift boot to the butt (to Crespi), St. Francis not only earned a 35-point Mission League road victory, they also doubled up their win total of a year ago.

St. Francis (14-8, 3-5) also is within striking distance of third-place Chaminade, a team they already have a win over.

The big story on Friday, though, also was the torrid shooting of Lucas Shin.

Shin had season highs in both points and 3 points baskets made.

He led all scorers with 19 points and made six 3-point baskets.

“Tonight was a big win for us on the road because we wanted to make some noise in the second half of league,” Shin said. “My teammates set me up really well the whole game and got me the ball in good spots. I’m just happy we were able to get the win.”

Andre Henry also had a big game with 17 points. He also had 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.

Joey Walsh added 16 points and 3 rebounds.

“This was a great road win for us,” Walsh said. “Only having 8 guys there, we needed to step it up big time as a team and play together. We played our style of basketball, which is playing defense, rebounding, pushing and sharing the ball. When we do that, we are a tough team to beat. It was a great win and we need to use this as fuel for our next game.”

Not to be overlooked, Omari Moore was huge.

Moore was one rebound and one assist from a triple-double.

He scored 14 points and had 9 rebounds and 9 assists.

St. Francis will host Loyola on Wednesday at 7.
