Westridge senior guard Juliana Favela is certainly saving her best for last.

The Tigers’ star senior guard scored 15 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, had 7 steals and blocked 3 shots.

Westridge defeated California Lutheran of Wildomar, 52-42, Saturday night in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 5-AA playoffs.

Ella Wood had a big game, scoring 9 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and had 5 steals.

“I’m thrilled for this team,” Westridge coach Melanie Horn said. “The players worked very hard throughout the game and remained composed in a very physical game. This is the first time in 20 years that Westridge Basketball has made a CIF-SS quarterfinal appearance. We’re very excited to be here.”

Ashley Wei had 12 points, Sarah Rozario 10, and Stephanie Davis added 4 points, had 5 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.

Westridge (13-9), which has won 7 of its last 8 games will travel to Coachella Valley on Wednesday at 7.

The Arabs (11-13) defeated Mesa Grande, 56-40.
