Pat Dionisio had a single and a double for St. Francis on Wednesday afternoon at Covina High School in a Frozen Ropes Tournament game.
Aaron Treloar had a solo home run.
And John Politis hit a 2-run blast for the Golden Knights.
Despite pounding out 8 hits and 9 runs, St. Francis fell to Covina, 13-9.
Covina banged out 13 hits and it was enough to stave off the Golden Knights.
St. Francis fell to 0-5 on the season, and will look for win No. 1 on Saturday morning when they play at West Covina at 11 a.m.
