Matt Queen was ‘King’ on Tuesday afternoon.
The Poly pitcher scattered five hits over five innings, and allowed just one earned run and striking out 2.
Queen also went 4 for 4 at the plate, and the Panthers cruised by Temple City, 10-2, in the Dave Moore Invitational.
Ty Evans had two hits and drove in three runs for the Panthers (3-3).
Sophomores Sean McTigue and Franco Alonso had two hits apiece for Poly.
Poly will play at Alhambra today (Thursday) at 3:15.
