Marshall bounced back from a 1-0 setback on Wednesday to Arroyo.

Two days later, the Eagles used good pitching and got their bats back.

Marshall took down Mountain View, 9-1, and are just one and a half games back of South El Monte in the Mission Valley League’s top spot.

Kendall Moran went six strong innings, and allowed just an unearned run on three hits.

Moran walked two and struck out two to earn the victory.

Chris Gaines was the big bat for Marshall.

Gaines had two hits, including a home run, he scored twice and drove in four runs.

Diego Zambrana also had two hits, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

John Ward pitched the final inning for Marshall and got all three out via strikeout.

The Eagles will host first-place South El Monte on Monday at 3:15.
