Sophomore Brittany Percin (Lake Tahoe, Calif. / Stanford Online) scored for the third straight game Saturday at SCIAC foe Whittier College.

Percin’s goal came in the third period and was one of two Caltech goals on the day. Senior Mary Boyajian (Sun Valley, Calif. / Village Christian) put the Beavers on the board in the first half with a second period goal. Caltech held Whittier’s offense to only two goals in the first period and had perhaps its strongest moments defensively. The Poets added four goals to their first half total and the Beavers would head into the second half down 6-1. The Poets pushed their lead to 10 heading into the final period of play. Once again Caltech’s defense put forth a strong showing to close out the game and only gave up one goal the rest of the way. Freshman goalkeeper Sarah Kreider (River Forest, Ill. / Oak Park and River Forest) recorded eight saves on the afternoon.

Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers will host SCIAC rival Occidental College on Wednesday Apr. 12 at 4pm. Caltech will honor its senior players in the team’s final home game of the year.
