The Eagles run a Wing-T offense (run-heavy), and have three players who have carried much of the load.<\/p>\n
DJ Paul is over the magical 1,000 yard mark with 1,174, and he’s scored 13 times.<\/p>\n
Jonathon Frimpong has 7 TD runs, and 542 yards.<\/p>\n
Andrew Kanamu has really come into his own lately, and has run for 731 yards and 7 touchdowns.<\/p>\n
Isaiah Fry, a speedy sophomore, has also gained over 400 yards and has scored three touchdowns.<\/p>\n
Tyler Slack leads the Eagles with 62 tackles.<\/p>\n
Rosemead (2-7, 2-3) has just two wins this season, and they’re both over the bottom two programs in the Mission Valley League (Gabrielino and Mountain View).<\/p>\n
The Panthers offense has been led by quarterbacks Alex Argueta (675 yards passing, 7 TDs) and Isaia Ah-Hing, who has thrown for more than 1,000 yards and has 10 TD passes.<\/p>\n
Marshall coach Scott Faer: “They throw the ball well and have decent run game. We need to put pressure on the quarterback on defense, and control the clock on offense. There is a very slim chance if we win that we can still get an at-large bid for the playoffs. It’s tough to make the playoffs with 85 teams in the division, so we will just focus on the task at hand and let the chips fall where they fall. The last game means a possible 6-4 record, which is huge for the Marshall football program. It has been since 2004 that Marshall has ended with a winning record or anything above 3-7. I will miss the relationships built with the seniors. DJ had a big year, going for over 1,200 yards through 9 games, and Andrew Kanamu with over 700 yards, and only had 7 full games at running back due to an injury. Eli Acosta had a very impressive year on both the offensive and defensive lines.<\/p>\n
