Mayfield No. 1 Singles Player, Lauren Panajotovic

If Mayfield wants to win a second straight Prep League championship, they know they’ve still got some heavy lifting to do.

The Cubs will face off with Westridge on Tuesday at the Arroyo Seco Racquet Club at 3:30.

They’ll finish off their regular-season slate with Prep League matches with both Poly and Chadwick.

So far, Mayfield is 10-1 on the season and 7-0 in league.

Lauren Panajotovic continues to pace the singles’ team.

The junior is 35-1 overall this year and 20-1 in league matches.

She recently fought off three match points last week only to lead a comeback versus Flintridge Prep.

Carly Hall, who plays No. 2 singles for Mayfield, is 17-3 in league matches.

Mayfield No. 1 Tennis Doubles Team

Alexia and Ariana Saigh are Mayfield’s No. 1 doubles team, and they’re 17-3 in Prep League contests.

Mayfield is coming off that 11-7 victory over Prep and an 18-0 “gimme” over Firebaugh.

The Cubs are the lone program without a loss in the Prep League.

Coach Silvana Stans is happy with her program’s performance thus far, but she’s focused solely on a tough Westridge team this Tuesday.

“We have a great team this year and our girls are working hard and enjoying themselves,” Stans said. “We are looking forward to our last three important Prep League matches.”
