Six Pasadena City College women’s soccer players were chosen to the 32-player, 5-team, All-South Coast Conference North Division Team for 2017. The Lancers received three automatic selections for the First and Second squads by tying for third place in the SCC North.

Making the All-SCC North First Team were frosh goalie and Crescenta Valley High grad Lilly Urumieh (1.33 goals against average, six shutouts, 73 saves), sophomore midfielder Emily Matthiesen and freshman defender Alexxis Molinar. Matthiesen was one of the team’s most consistent players over two seasons. This year, the Monrovia High product led the team in assists with nine and added a goal. Molinar (from Temple City High) totaled two goals and two assists and proved to be a stalwart center back.

Selected to the All-SCC North Second Team were two-time, all-conference selection and defender Chloe Twitchell (Monrovia High), who led the team in scoring with 14 points (six goals, two assists), letterman defender Summer Hofstad (Temple City High), and sophomore midfielder Stephanie Esparza (South El Monte High, three goals).

Coached by Reggie Rivas, the Lancers won 10 games this season, the most by a PCC team since 2012.
