La Salle sophomore forward Eric Rivero scored three more goals on Wednesday in a Camino Real game at St. Monica.

It was Rivero’s third hat trick (3 goals) in just over a couple weeks.

La Salle moved to 2-0 in league play with its 5-0 road victory.

Daniel Piesik scored once and got another on an own goal.

“The team is playing amazing and they were setting me the ball beautifully,” Rivero said. “They made the job easier for me. If we keep improving in practice, nothing can stop us.”

CJ Rettig had 5 more saves and pitched another shutout for the Lancers.

The first-year soccer player/goalie is really coming into his own for the program.

“Coming into the season, I knew almost everyone on the team, and it’s made playing on the team and having this success this much more special,” Rettig said.

La Salle will host Cantwell-Sacred Heart on Friday at 5
