Both Pasadena and Muir had Pacific League mismatches Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs and Mustangs knew they couldn’t look past anyone, but you can’t blame both sides for anxiously anticipating Friday’s showdown at Maranatha at 8.

For Muir, they took down Hoover, 78-24, on Tuesday in a road victory.

It’s the Mustangs’ eighth consecutive victory overall, and sixth Pacific League win in a row.

Hunter Woods had a team-high 14 points, and also grabbed 6 rebounds, had 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.

Tiyon Martin added 10 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.

Haleem Jenkins finished with 13 points, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 rebounds.

Tasson Aubry had another big night- and consistent evening at that, scoring 10 points and grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds.

Jordan Pace added 3 points and 3 rebounds.

Joseph Dolloway contributed 9 points, 3 steals and an assist.

Jalen Johnson and Ethan Fleming had 6 points apiece.

Fleming also had 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, while Johnson added 2 rebounds, and one assist and steal.

Leif Cienfuegos had 5 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists and Neal Carter finished with 3 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.

Muir will face PHS on Friday at Maranatha at 8 with first place in the Pacific League on the line.
