Flintridge Prep didn’t get the start to its 2018-19 season that it had hoped for.

Their season opening opponent, Knight, took a 19-point advantage into the half and cruised by Flintridge Prep in pool play action at Wednesday’s Providence Tournament.

The Hawks defeated the Rebels by a score of 67-52.

Dajour Lewis (26 points) and William Grant (20) combined for 43 for Knight.

Matthew Ho led Prep with 14 points and John Lytle added 12 points.

AJ Nicassio and Jake Woo finished with 8 points apiece and Kevin Ashworth had 6.

Zach Kim rounded out Prep’s offense with 4 points on Wednesday.

Raul Velarde chipped in 6 points and Albert Ivy had 5 points for Knight.

Prep will be back at it tonight (Thursday) at 8, as the Rebels face off with Holy Martyrs Armenian (0-1) in the Providence Tournament.
