Despite a furious comeback late, Muir was unable to catch Glendale in what many considered as an upset Friday night.

The Mustangs (8-6 overall, 1-1 in league) trailed 60-50 with two minutes to go in a Pacific League match up.

Muir got as close as 61-58 with 55 seconds to play when Hunter Woods hit a 3-pointer for the Mustangs.

But neither team scored in the final minute and Glendale (9-6, 1-1) left Pasadena with a huge victory.

Javonte James had a game-high 20 points, and Hunter Woods finished with 18.

David Shamiryan led Glendale with 15 points, Cole Fajardo had 13 and both Alex Ramos and Daniel Madden chipped in with 12 points each.

Muir will travel to Burroughs on Monday at 6:30 to continue league play.
