It didn’t take long to realize Flintridge Prep was no match for Prep League leading Poly on Monday.
Talie Wilmans scored all five of her goals in the first quarter and the Panthers led 7-0 after the first period.
Prep would never get close as the first-place Panthers cruised, 20-1, in a Prep League contest.
Shaya Naimi had 4 goals, and Colleen Woo and Lily Maechling had 3 goals apiece.
Woo also had four assists on Monday.
Poly will host last-place Milken on Wednesday at 3.
Panthers’ coach Ryan Katsuyama won’t look past anyone, but the Feb. 6 rematch with second-place Westridge (9-1 in league) looks to be the only thing standing between Poly and an outright league title.
Kate McInerny had 7 saves in goal for Poly, and Tess Robertson-Neel blocked 7 shots for Prep.
Rhiyana Boyles scored the Rebels’ lone goal in the fourth quarter.
