Sophomore forward Ilianna Blanc, second-year guard Jolene Robinson, letterman center Kailyn Gideon and freshman center Alisa Shinn were the Pasadena City College selections on the 2016-2017 All-South Coast Conference North Division Team.

Blanc and Robinson made it to the First Team while Gideon and Shinn are Second Team choices.

The 5-foot-11 Blanc, who started her career in 2014-15 as a medical redshirt, became a two-time, All-SCC First Team pick. She averaged 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. A strong shooter from the post and from as far as 17-foot range, Blanc, out of Fairfax High, had a variety of moves that allowed her to get free for a basket. She shot a proficient 78.2 percent from the free throw line (68 of 87 attempts). She appeared in 66 games in her PCC career, starting in 63 of them. Her 716 career points places her No. 19 on the school’s all-time scoring list.

The 6-foot Robinson, a native of Vancouver, Canada, was one of the team’s top defensive players in her two seasons. She averaged 10.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists while leading the team in steals with 52 (1.7 a game).

Gideon, a 6-3 post player from Glendale High, averaged 8.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest. She is PCC’s all-time leader in blocks in a season (113) and in a career (164). She led the state in blocked shots average as well with a 3.8 a game mark. Her 52.9 percent shooting percentage from the floor led the team.

Shinn, another 6-3 talent and an All-CIF Player of the Year at Crescenta Valley High, just missed averaging a double-double at 11.9 points and a team-best 9.7 rebounds per game. Her all-around game, which often saw her bring the ball up the floor for the guard-lacking Lancers, including 1.5 blocks, 1 steal and 1.6 assists per game averages. She set a PCC playoff record for rebounds in a game with 19 in the team’s season-ending, SoCal Regional Third Round loss at East Los Angeles College last week.

The four Lancers played for head coach Joe Peron, who completed his 21st season on the PCC bench. Pasadena was a 10th seed in the regionals and forced No. 2 ELAC into overtime before losing. PCC finished 21-10 overall and just missed a trip to the CCCAA State Championship Tournament.
