Using a combination of pinpoint pitching and hot bats, the Dodgers stopped their division rival Colorado Rockies 6-1 tonight, as pitcher Alex Wood recorded his 8th straight win, matching the Dodgers current win streak. The Dodgers are also unbeaten through this current home stand, and hold the best record in major league baseball tonight, at 30-10..
The Dodgers hitting continues to win games for them, though Wood’s masterful performance meant that the Dodgers didn’t need all those runs. Woods was business-like and never in trouble through six innings before being replaced by Maeda. He is now 11-2 in 22 career starts, striking out 79, walking only 17.
All of the Dodger bats seemed to find the mark as Cody Bellinger extended his hitting streak to nine games, Turner going 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. Yasiel Puig also got busy, banging out his 14th home run of the season in the fourth.
“We’re confident, some might call it swagger,” offered Dodger Manager Dave Roberts after the game, “but we’re confident about how things are going this season.” Asked if he was superstitious, or did anything differently during the current streak, he was adamant, cutting off the question. “No, I’m not,” he said, looking for the next question.

The Dodgers, winners of their last 13 of 14 games and seven in a row, including two sweeps over the Reds and the Mets, face their division rivals, the Colorado Rockies, tonight in the first of three. Alex Wood of the Dodgers, (7-0!) will face Kyle Freeland on their respective mounds.
The Dodger bomb squad has also been busy, banging out a record 15 home runs in the Mets series. Buckle up, Bobbleheads.
